Fall Vacation '07
The week following Laura's wedding, Dave Ruth and I headed out for a week's vacation - we headed for Wildcat Mt. State Park and on to LaCrosse, crossing over the Mississippi River to the Minnesota side. We followed the river north from there to Taylor Falls, MN and crossed over to St. Croix Falls, WI and on to Spooner to spend a few days with Marge and Don. We had beautiful weather and saw beautiful scenery. Altho the trees weren't at their peak color, it was enjoyable none the less. One of our many stops was in Winona, MN at the Watkins Museum (photo above) which brought back many memories of Watkins dealers and Watkins products used in our home through the years. This was the first trip in my newly acquired Chrysler Town & Country van and it made it so comfortable to travel the miles. Everyone had a great view from the van windows and for once, Dave had a chance to be a passenger rather than the driver.
