2009
HELLO, IT IS NOW DEC. 2009!!! TIME TO REVIEW AND START ANOTHER YEAR..

(Dec)
Getting caught up! This month extended from last, I have been getting some dental work done and the goal is to be done by the end of Feb.(depending on other priorities) Its always good to have goals set tho..its even better when the goals are able to be met. This year I hope to spend time with the family for the Holidays but that will depend on weather ...Up here 9000 ft. makes a difference...I hope you all have a nice and blessed Holiday!!!

(Oct-Nov)
Guess time just seems to fly faster and faster....I did manage to go to the family's for Renee's birthday and even mine!
Had a real good time and its always nice to be able to get away. The month of November I worked alot of overtime to fill in for people going on vacation etc...All in all, a couple of good months.

(Sept)
Hi, just like July & August, the months have just flown by ! Continued to work on the inside of the barn and its about done. Still have the inside stalls to finish but the horses can come in and use the inside stall as well as their outside stall. Had my engine rebuilt in the car and got that paid off this month including a credit card.Feels good. Now I can work on other things. Even Oct. is about over.

(July& Aug)
July has flown by and seems that there isn't enough time to get everything done that needs done. Sorry, July just flew past me...My niece Tasha is staying with me right now and came in July 12th. She works at the same place I do until she gets into something with her degree. All is going well. Busy at work and also helping in getting the barn done at the ranch where I board my horse. Now am helping on the inside of the barn... also keeping up with the websites that I have done. Well, that's it for now.

(June)
Time sure flies!!! Renee came out for "Donkey Derby Days" (as she does every year) and we had a good time. Got free meal at the Steakhouse, the Mexican restaurant, and the Home Cafe. The Mexican Restaurant is new this year at Bronco Billy's. The Chili Cook-Off was fun and she got a ticket for a style="border: 2px inset ; margin: -3px; padding: 3px; position: relative; background-color: rgb(239, 239, 231); width: 100%; height: 100%;".00 to taste chili at the booth of her choice. She saw the parade that is neat every year along with the donkey race and got to meet my friend Irma from Denver that came out one day with her grand-kids. She also got to relax at the ranch ....before the fire that is. On the 25th of June there was a fire in Park county that was close enough to Teller County which part of the Bear Trap Ranch is in and that put a damper on the vacation time but blessed that all went well and no damage done. The animals were all evacuated including all humans on the Bear trap Ranch around 5pm on the 25th and then all transferred to the Teller County fairgrounds. Was busy cleaning the stalls and feeding the animals and then even let the horses out into the arena to get exercise since cooped up in stalls for four days. Everybody was able to return with their animals on the 30th and the animals were all VERY GLAD TO BE HOME!!!!!!!! (be sure to see the pictures posted under Renee and Ed's page that were added) Will keep ya all posted for the month of July!

(May)
Wow, it's been awhile since I have been here but been really busy. Been back with working with the girls (all the mares including Tatonka) They have had a rest all winter and now its time to work out. It's been great working with them and getting to see each of their unique characters. You have Lady which came off the race track and one has to be on her all the time to stay in line.(she is the one that the animal hospital starved and therefor her colt was stunted)
Princess- she likes to challenge and she is fast. She tends to move closer in to you while lunging her and you have to keep her out in her own space and out of yours... she thinks she is a princess too!, Janie, she is a 27 yr old mare and is in great shape and can still move. She was a professional cutting horse. Then there is Tatonka... she likes to challenge also but is doing great. Will be taking Princess and Tatonka down to the one that is training the stallion to see how they would be for barrels. Other than working the girls, have been busy looking at proofs for the ranch signs and the promotion signs and fliers for Star the stallion... he won his first check this past weekend ...very proud of him.

(March)
Well, got a late start in writing this blog.... it's a new dawn and a new year.
Have been busy doing some administrative duties for Black Stallion Alpaca Ranch along with my regular job. It's been cold with snow and sometimes wind blowing at 60mph...I can see in the pictures posted that Wis. has had alot of snow ....anyway, spring should be around the corner soon and I can't wait so that I can get back into training and spending time with my baby "Tatonka". I understand that she doesn't back down now since she thinks she is all grown up...when the rest in the herd would push her around, she just took it... now she puts her ears back too and lets them know they can't push her around no more. She just stands her ground and I am proud of her!!
